Chey reviews the Lucy and Loo Convertible Dress

My gorgeous friend Chey is a self confessed 'curvy girl with some massive bazoomies'. Chey NEVER wears dresses and she would never EVER dream of wearing a dress without a bra.

Here we share some pics of a recent photoshoot. Chey is wearing our Lucy and Loo Convertible Ball Gown in Electric Blue and Ivory (Chey wears our stick on 'Nudi Bra') and our Navy Ball Gown with a Bandeau and standard bra underneath.

I have been CONVERTED!!

I have always been a self-proclaimed "non dress wearer" pretty much my whole life. Then I was introduced to the Lucy and Loo Convertible Dress and I AM HOOKED! Lol! I now own 3 of them!!

The Lucy and Loo Dress is my new 'go to' item of clothing. Regardless of how many times I wear the same dress to various formal or casual outings (I just tie it differently every time), I am given numerous compliments.

Being a large busted woman, I was concerned whether the Lucy and Loo Convertible Dress would offer the support I desired... but after I put the dress on, these concerned immediately disappeared. The dress offers enough support that I find no other support is needed. I found that I could achieve this simply by altering how the dress was tied. If I tie it tight, my bust is supported and I'm COMFORTABLE!

When it came to tying different styles I was excited to find that the Lucy and Loo YouTube Channel was there to help teach me step by step. I had so much fun playing around with the dresses to find what felt right for me and my body shape.
I have to say it.. the Lucy and Loo Convertible Dress is 'wobbly bits friendly'! Lol! The material is so light and luxurious and doesn't cling to the bits I would rather hide. I don't even need to wear spanks! Ha ha! It literally feels like you are wearing a cloud.
Thank you for converting me! I'm now a dress wearer! Who knew??!

Jess's wedding - Charcoal Lucy and Loo Converitble Bridesmaid Dress

The last thing Jess ever expected when she volunteered to help out behind the bar at a friends wedding.... was that she would meet the man of her dreams.

The last thing Luke expected, is that this stunning woman he just met behind the bar was also a cattle musterer... just like him.

Toni's wedding - Lucy and Loo Convertible Bridesmaid Dress

Once upon a time, a soldier from the Australian Army, took the day off to take his pride and joy (a customized purple XR6) to a photo shoot for his favorite car magazine. He saw the most beautiful woman... a model getting her hair and make-up done for the shoot. He took a deep breath.. and approached her....

Cass's Wedding - French Grey Lucy and Loo Bridesmaid Dresses

If you looked up the "how to guide" for styling bright wedding flowers while still achieving a classic, classy and sophisticated theme... I'm quite sure you would see this picture.

Cass's gorgeous bridesmaids wear our Lucy and Loo Convertible Maxi Dress in French Grey. The soft, pastel grey colour compliments Cass's romantic lace wedding gown perfectly.. not too casual, not to formal.. just the right amount of pretty.

What is even more "OMG" about this photo, is that our French Grey has a subtle hint of purple and blue.. accentuated by the GORGEOUS bouquets from Willow Bud

The first time I met Michelle (in person rather than via email) was the day she collected her Bridesmaid Dresses at the Lucy and Loo Studio.... the day before her wedding!

"...You're so calm and relaxed" I said.

"Well... why wouldn't I be?" She asked. "This is going to be fun!"

Jess's Maternity Shoot - Mocha Cocktail Dress

At 36 weeks pregnant with her little IVF miracle named "Tilda". Jess and her hubby of nearly 8 years celebrated with a maternity shoot on a beautiful private farm in Ripely (Ipswich QLD).

Jess wears our Lucy and Loo Cocktail Length Convertible Dress in Mocha (colour no longer available).

Courtney's Wedding - Navy Lucy and Loo Convertible Dress

It's rare that I have a chance to meet the Bride and the Groom. Usually it seems, bridesmaid dress shopping is kept as 'secret woman's business'! However late last year I had the pleasure of meeting Courtney and her bridal party for our Style Session and then, a few months later, I met her hubby-to-be, Lee, while the pair made the final decision and planning together. I saw instantly how much these too were in love. They utterly adore each other. They are without a doubt perfect for one another... as you can see from their stunning wedding photo's from Sun Lit Studio's.

Front Cover and Inside story - Profile Magazine

Holly's Wedding: Charcoal Full Length Gowns

Isn't it funny how life turns out. Holly and Anthony went to high school together, but this isn't a high school sweetheart story. The pair first met in year 11, however only said hello to each other in passing. Never in a million years did either of them think that years later, they would end up madly in love and saying 'I DO'.

Anthony proposed on the 6th of July, the day before Holly's 28th Birthday.
"We had the day planned, working on our new house that was under construction. In the morning, Anth headed to Bunnings, while I enjoyed another 15 minutes in bed. Soon after I received a call from him, saying that he left the shopping list at our new house and asked if I could go and get it. I walked in, and found a HUGE love letter written on a piece of concrete sheeting. Then there was a knock at the front door. I opened it, to find Anth on bended knee. "I love you, will you marry me?" Of course I said "YES" through many happy tears! He then grabbed a bottle of champagne and two glasses that he had hidden to celebrate. We were then treated to two massages, dinner at Montalto and we stayed at a cute B&B. It was the PERFECT night."

Anthony and Holly were married on the 15th of February 2014 in Holly's Mum's beautiful backyard in Balnarring. Her gorgeous, carefully manicured gardens was the perfect backdrop.

The reception was held at Anthony's Mum's house in Mt Martha. A property that holds great memories for the family. A stunning marquee was erected, complete with pop up bar, DJ and dance floor!

Holly's Bridesmaids Chantelle (MOH), Kate and Bec wore Lucy and Loo Convertible Bridesmaid dresses in Charcoal.
"They loved their Lucy and Loo Gowns! As each of my bridesmaids are different height, size and shape and we could tailor the dress into a style that they all looked stunning in and felt comfortable in!"

Holly's gorgeous wedding dress is Anna Campbell, however her very clever Mum created the tulle bridal train which she wore during the ceremony and for part of the wedding photo's.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Harris!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

I don’t think I could pick one favorite part. But I think I could pick 3!
  • Because I can get pretty emotional, we decided to see each other before the ceremony. Anth came out to greet me when I got out of the car, it was so surreal.
  • The first kiss and being announced as husband and wife! Not only was it an amazing moment, but it was also such a weight lifted off my shoulders, I really felt like I could relax, celebrate and enjoy the rest of the day.
  •  The last dance of the night! We aren’t very traditional and don’t enjoy a lot of attention so we didn’t have a first dance or anything like that. But the last dance of the night was ‘Rain’ and everyone picked us both up and we all sang and danced. It was so much fun!

Brooke's Wedding - Pale Pink Convertible Bridesmaid Dresses

The last think Brooke was expecting as she was choosing her costume for her best friends birthday party was that she was about to meet the man of her dreams.
This is a love story of when Aquaman met the Prince of Persia.. !

"Dave took me to my favorite restaurant up in the hills (It's a quirky little cottage with the most amazing views!) he pulled out the ring and while trying to get the box open he fumbled and accidentally threw the ring on the floor!
By the time he picked it up he was so embarrassed and red faced he said "So.. how about it? Will you marry me?"

Brooke's 4 bridesmaids Jenna, Lauren, Akalia and Emily wore Pale Pink Lucy and Loo Convertible Bridesmaid Dresses. They loved choosing their own styles and that they were so comfortable to wear.

Brooke and Dave were married in December 2013 on Dave's family property in Bendigo.
The reception was held in a gorgeous marquee with hanging chandeliers, the guests receiving a jar filled with pink and white marshmallows to match Brooks wedding theme.

What a pretty cake!

"To Keep You Near was our florist.. although they are fake flowers! The most beautiful ones I have ever seen! You can't even tell that they are fake!"  (You had me fooled Brooke! Even this close up pic looks real!)

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Trew!

Courtney's Wedding - Mocha Convertible Bridesmaid Dresses

"In February 2013, 5 day's after our 2 year anniversary, Dave took me to dinner at Bucci Restaurant in Brisbane. During dinner, Dave told me that he'd bought a tripod for his camera and asked if we could go to Kangaroo Point after dinner to take some photo's. He made up some story about Dick Smith trying to sell him a camera bag with the tripod, but it was too expensive so he was using a wine cooler bag he had been given. Knowing Dave and how much she hates spending money I totally believed the story."

"When we got to the top lookout of Kangaroo Point, Dave asked me to get the tripod out of the bag. I felt around inside the bag and all I felt was an ice brick. Confused, I turned around to face Dave to see him down on one knee holding the most beautiful engagement ring."
"I of course cried a lot, then said yes. We then sat at the lookout for a while enjoying the bottle of Moet and the chocolate dipped strawberries that he had made using my favorite Lindt Blueberry Chocolate".

Dave and Courtney were married in March in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Their wedding ceremony at the adorable Little White Wedding Church

Their 80+ Guests joined the pair at the stunningly beautiful, award winning Flaxton Gardens for the reception.

Gorgeous Cake by Sunny Girl Cakes!

Courtney's wore an Elizabeth De Varga wedding gown and her 3 Bridesmaids Bec. Nika and Nadine wore Lucy and Loo Convertible Bridesmaid Dresses in Mocha.

"... the whole day was incredible. I did really enjoy the reception after all of the formalities were over and we got to dance and have fun with our guests. Half way through our first dance we broke out int "Everyday I'm Shuffling" and everyone got up and started dancing. THAT was amazing!"

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Fifield!
